Margot Robbie Says Yet Another Harley Quinn Movie Is In The Works

Margot Robbie, who wowed the audiences with her turn as the charmingly deranged Harley Quinn in an otherwise critically panned Suicide Squad, says she is working on a new Harley Quinn movie that appears to be unrelated to other movies in DC Extended Universe that are already announced like Gotham City Sirens and a film based on The Joker.

In September, Warner Bros. finally tapped Gavin O'Connor (The Accountant) to helm Suicide Squad 2.

Back in September, it was revealed the I, Tonya actress would be co-producing her own Harley Quinn film with Warner Bros., and that we might be seeing several of her gal pals (including Bat Girl and the Birds of Prey) join her on the big screen. While she didn't spoil anything, Robbie did point out that everyone is excited to see Harley return. Because of that, they are working on more than one project and seeing what comes of it. Robbie prefers to see Quinn in a film along with other female heroes/villains. Perhaps more surprising is the fact that it's just one of a number of Harley-centric movies in development, and this latest one she's speaking of doesn't seem to have been reported on before.

Margot Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad was widely appreciated. She needs other girls around her cos she loves that.

Indeed, it was Robbie's gleeful performance that resonated with fans - more so than any other member of Task Force X - so it's small wonder why Warner Bros. has chose to double down on her Harley Quinn for the foreseeable future.

Robbie also says her Harley film will give the character some much-needed female friendships - a new squad, if you will.

"There's a lot going on right now and I'm not sure". It seems like it's best for Warner Bros.to flawless their craft instead of tacking on even more projects on their already-hefty plate.
