No worries Flynn is cooperating with special investigation

The court documents provide the clearest picture yet of coordination between Flynn and other Trump advisers in contacting Russian officials to influence worldwide policy, and raise questions about who higher up the chain of command in Trump's orbit -possibly even including the president himself- is in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's sights after he agreed to a plea deal with the retired general.

Mr Miller was responding to the part of Mr Trump's tweet in which he said he fired Mr Flynn in February because he "lied to the Vice-President and the FBI". Flynn Jr. also acted briefly as his father's chief of staff during the transition, but was forced to resign after his frequent tweets on conspiracy theories. Until now, the White House has claimed that Trump fired Flynn just because he lied to Pence.

Donald Trump's former top adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty on Friday to lying over his contacts with Russian Federation, in a dramatic escalation of the FBI's probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

Upon arriving at his first event, Trump made no mention of Flynn during his early remarks, before the press was escorted out. Trump said in a tweet.

The president added that "no collusion" has been shown and reiterated, "There's been absolutely no collusion so we're very happy".

In at least one instance, prosecutors say Flynn was directed by a "very senior member" of the presidential transition team to discuss a United Nations resolution on whether to condemn Israel's building of settlements. He is a good guy.

"No, I'm not", Trump said when asked if he was anxious about what Michael Flynn will tell investigators. Comey has said that Trump the following day brought up the Flynn investigation in private at the White House and told him that he hoped he could "let this go".

"Among federal law enforcement officials, there is great concern that exposure of the texts [Strzok and Page] exchanged may be used by the president and his defenders to attack the credibility of the Mueller probe, and the FBI more broadly", the Post wrote Saturday.

Flynn, who was sacked from the White House in February, also acknowledged publicly for the first time that he is cooperating with Mueller's team, prompting speculation about what information Flynn could share with investigators.

Peter Strzok, a veteran FBI investigator, was shuffled off to the FBI's human resources department by Mueller after the Justice Department's inspector general opened an investigation into the texts, The New York Times reported on Saturday.
