Curry (right ankle) will sit out vs. Clips

Curry scored 38 points in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on December 30, his first outing in nearly four weeks after suffering a right ankle sprain. Two-time league MVP Stephen Curry slipped in practice, re-injuring his right ankle in the process.

Get live updates, news and analysis on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. when the short-handed Warriors try to beat the Clippers for the 13th consecutive time when the teams meet at Oracle. Fortunately, Kevin Durant is expected to return after missing the last three games due to a right calf strain, and Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala are both available.

Thompson was Golden State's only player this season to appear in all 41 games. With Curry out, the Warriors may likely turn to veteran guard Shaun Livingston to draw the spot start against the Clippers. Warriors head into Wednesday night with a four game lead.

Curry is averaging 27.9 points and 6.4 assists this season.
