Do Not Disturb Feature Coming to Xbox One

Do Not Disturb Feature Coming to Xbox One

There's a number of features being introduced as part of this update, but the most interesting one is a new online status option called "Do not disturb".

Xbox One Alpha Insiders are now testing a new firmware that brings a couple of nifty features. You can check out which achievements you're closest to unlocking and quickly launch the game to set about getting them done. Sort filters allow you to prioritize next Achievements by closest, most common, rarest, most common rare, and highest Gamerscore.

On top of the "Next Achievements" feature, Insiders will be able to test additional features as they work their way through the Xbox One Update preview rings.

A miniaturised version of Game Hubs has been added to the Guide.

Mini Game Hubs will also be available right in the guide, which means you'll be able to access game content from games you've recently played without having to leave the Game Hub itself. Mini Game Hubs provide an easy way to see friends who are now playing, upcoming achievements, and more.

The update will also add a "Do Not Disturb" online status, to let friends know you're now unavailable, while the community feed has also been tweaked to make it easier to view.

It can take a bit for the features on the Insider program to make it to everyone, but these are some nice quality of life improvements.

Additional inactivity shutdown options are being added to the Power mode & startup menu. Now there are one and six hour options, but Microsoft made a decision to add, two, three, four, and five hour options after reviewing feedback from users.

There are other new features, but Microsoft isn't ready to talk about them publicly yet and is only rolling them out to a small subset of users as "experimental".
