ISIS declares war on Hamas

The war of words between the Palestinian Authority and Trump marked one more disagreement since Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in early December and declared that the US would move its embassy there.

Last December, Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and made a decision to move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to the disputed city.

A committee from the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) has been preparing documents for discussion during the meeting of the organization's Central Council next week, deciding the future Palestinian political steps. "Trump's decision made us very keen to speed up the reconciliation process", he said.

Palestinian officials and other leaders in the Arab and Muslim worlds have said that the move essentially disqualified the US from brokering peace talks in the region.

"There are imperatives and requirements for peace, and unilaterally President Trump destroyed them", Ashrawi said. "There are still deliberations taking place, and we have until mid January to decide what we are going to do".

The Islamic State likely lacks the reach into Gaza to launch a large-scale attack, but it could encourage its supporters to launch more rockets into Israel, knowing that Israel's military will respond against Hamas, which it holds responsible for all military aggression from Gaza, Mohannad Sabry, the author of "Sinai: Egypt's Linchpin, Gaza's Lifeline, Israel's Nightmare", said.

Calls upon the global community, including the High Contracting Parties to the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention, to intervene to stop all Israeli violations against fishermen and allow them to fish freely in the Gaza Sea. "I am talking about the Palestinian Authority's official media outlets; their official schools; their official camps".

"In the meantime, we remain hard at work on our comprehensive peace plan, which will benefit both Israelis and Palestinians and will be unveiled when it is ready and the time is right", the official said.
