Salah issues response to Real Madrid transfer speculation

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah took to Twitter to respond to the latest speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Salah won the Premier League Player of the Month award for November; he also is Liverpool's top goal scorer this season in all competitions.

Salah told the club website: 'I'm very happy to win this award again. Though he's assured his future lies at Liverpool while being "happy" at Anfield.

Liverpool have already let one of their star names leave the Anfield as Philippe Coutinho left for FC Barcalona for 160 million euros.

A winter move for the player is nearly certainly out of the question after Liverpool recently sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in a deal that could rise to £142 million.

The Egypt worldwide hopes that award will be followed by many more individual and collective prizes, with the talented frontman eager to force his way to the very top of the game.

"I am aware of previous players from my country that have achieved a lot, but, meaning no disrespect to any of them, I want to be remembered as the greatest player ever to come from Egypt".

Phew, I guess, if your a Liverpool fan.

Salah, who missed Liverpool's last two games against Everton and Burnley with a groin problem, handed Jurgen Klopp a huge boost by returning to first-team training ahead of Sunday's highly anticipated Premier League clash against Manchester City.
