Watch Jennifer Lawrence call out Emma Stone for changing Golden Globes plans

It turns out that Emma Stone had asked Jennifer to attend some of the Golden Globes after parties with her.

Emma portrayed the tennis legend in Battles Of The Sexes and was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, but lost out to Saoirse Ronan for her role in Lady Bird.

Jennifer looks away from the camera as she sports a smokey eye and replies to her pal saying: 'Well, you had told me that you wanted me to be your date to the after parties so I, you know, got us some tickets to some after parties.

But things went awry when Stone canceled on her halfway through her "glam", which resulted in an incomplete makeup look. Further proving just how solid their friendship is, Lawrence completely laughed it off when Stone canceled their plans to go to the Golden Globes after-parties at the last minute. "I booked a vehicle and I was halfway through glam"-here she turns to look at the camera, and we see the results of the sudden interruption-"when you told me that you didn't want to go".

In particular, Emma Stone's make-up was a very obvious and deliberate nod to the Suffragettes, based on the movement's colour scheme of green, white and purple.

"He wasn't really a stalker". Can you warm up the orchestra for me? He must have worked at a studio or something, because he had a lot of people's numbers. What if this wasn't Emma after all, but a trap from John the Orchestra Guy?

So, John the Orchestra Guy, thanks (we think) for bringing two great friends a little closer. When Emma called her to say she'd rather have a night in (same, TBH) instead of going to the parties, Jennifer sent her team home and waited for her bud. "And we met. It's our adorable love story". "You still look unbelievable", someone else added.
