Fox to air draft with ESPN, NFL Network

Fox to air draft with ESPN, NFL Network

Fox will join NFL Network and ESPN, both of which already had the rights to broadcast the draft live. SBJ also reports that Fox will co-produce the NFL Network broadcast and some of Fox's NFL talent will be used (presumably, chief NFL insider Jay Glazer).

But with FOX agreeing to televise the draft for the first time this year, it's an event that ESPN no longer controls.

Fox, which recently signed a five-year deal with the NFL to air Thursday Night Football, will reportedly carry the NFL Network feed of the Draft.

The Fox NFL crew broadcasts from the field before the NFL football NFC championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, in Philadelphia. It turns out the draft will have a new television home as well as Mike Florio reported FOX will be airing the weekend of festivities this year. While Fox is committed to showing the first three rounds of the draft on April 26 and 27, it's unknown whether their coverage will include the final four rounds on April 28.

The league first moved the draft to begin on a Thursday night in 2010 and in 2016 they began to move it outside New York City, bringing it to Chicago and Philadelphia.
