Pink reveals she has the flu ahead of Big Super Bowl Performance

Pink reveals she has the flu ahead of Big Super Bowl Performance

Last weekend's matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots averaged 103.4 million viewers, down about 7% from the average 111.3 million that tuned in previous year for the Super Bowl on FOX.

Though Pink wrote that she's "trying to practice the flu away", apparently that's been hard for her this week.

The "Beautiful Trauma" singer always wanted to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl ever since she saw Whitney Houston's performance in 1991. "And now, my chance has finally come", she wrote. And it just so happens this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish kids who cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek'.

Ray Steadmon, owner of Coloma Lanes in Coloma in southwestern MI, said that even though he is a "huge football fan" he was going to sponsor a Stars and Stripes tournament instead of a Super Bowl party.

But the show must go on!

Pink skipped some of the words during the songs, relying on her backup singers Friday at Nomadic Live at the Armory in Minneapolis. As the season was getting underway, he said any player who protests is a "son of a bitch" who should be removed from the field, and criticized National Football League owners for failing to take action.

Social media users praised Alexandra Walles for her exuberant performance and dubbed her the "MVP" (Most Valuable Player).

Ellen DeGeneres called Pink "amazing". (In other words, the worst.) Using the soaring rhetoric of Martin Luther King Jr. saying all people can be great if they serve, to sell Ram trucks.

Earlier in the week, it was feared Pink would be unable to perform the pre-game national anthem after she caught the flu from her children.

But while a sick Pink put in a massive effort, some fans were quick to point out she was a little shaky.

Super Bowl LII took place at Minneapolis' U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 4.

Just before Pink began to sing, she removed her gum from her mouth and smiled.

HollywoodLifers, did you love Pink's outfit at the Super Bowl? "And the EAGLES!?!?!" she wrote.
