Board accepts responsibility for West Ham woes, Brady claims

West Ham's defeat to Burnley at home last weekend was marred by crowd trouble and a vicious show of anger by the fans towards the club's board, who have been accused of underinvestment and moving to a stadium not suited to football.

A series of separate pitch invasions occurred during the second half of the loss at the London Stadium and fans also protested in front of the directors' box, leading to members of the board leaving early due to concerns over their safety.

"If he plays in the last eight games of the season for West Ham he'll be on 28 games, that's not a disaster, it's not like he hasn't played, that's two third of a season".

Brady, in her Sun newspaper column, called the events "one of the most painful days" in the club's history.

Tempers boiled over following West Ham's third defeat in a row, which left them just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Their next game is at home to fellow strugglers Southampton on 31 March.

"Nothing is more important than ensuring our fans are able to come and support the team safely", she said.

"Us as players, we know we have to do better on the field". Spending on transfers and wages has doubled over past five years.

West Ham United manager David Moyes hopes a training camp in Miami will provide an ideal platform for the London club to prepare for a potentially hard climax to the Premier League season. "The London Stadium Safety Advisory Group met [on Thursday] and found that a small minority of spectators from within a very large crowd caused an unprecedented level of disorder at multiple locations across the stadium, which would have been nearly impossible for any security team to manage", they said in a statement.

"Over time you make it a home, decorating it to your taste in your preferred colours, adding your pictures, photos and memories to make it warm and comfortable".

'We take full responsibility for the changes that need to be made to the stadium.
