Cameron Diaz has 'retired from acting' as actress says 'I'm done'

Selma Blair is quite the jokester - but when her words were misconstrued during a recent interview, she was quick to tackle the rumor that she didn't realize she had started regarding her good pal Cameron Diaz.

In an interview, Diaz's spokesperson Selma Blair reportedly joked that Diaz was done with acting. "She's like, 'I'm done'". She clarified her statement with a sarcastic tweet, saying, "Cameron Diaz is not retiring from anything".

The news was confirmed by a publication which had taken her spokesperson's interview earlier. Cameron, who rose to stardom from hit movies like "The Mask" and "My Best Friend's Wedding", was seen last in a 2014 movie, "Annie".

That same year, she also starred in "The Other Woman" with Leslie Mann and Kate Upton, as well as the comedy "Sex Tape". "She's happy." Blair later walked back her comments on Twitter, writing that Diaz "is NOT retiring from ANYTHING". There was some talk about how she might have had reservations about the role, but what she delivered to the screen was so wonderfully done that people immediately wanted more. We were reminiscing about the film [The Sweetest Thing]. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. "She's like 'I'm done". She has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back. The star also talked about the struggle of women actresses with aging and shared her desire for women of age should be more represented in the industry.

In the interview, Diaz talked about her project, "The Longevity Book".
