Hasin Jahan, cricketer Mohammed Shami's wife, accused of attacking media person

Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan has occupied more news space in the last couple of weeks more than either of them collectively did in the last five years.

Criminal charges have been filed against India fast bowler Mohammed Shami by his wife Hasin Jahan, accusing him and his family of attempting to kill her by giving her a heavy dose of sleeping pills. The incident took place as the journalist was trying to get Hasin's reaction on one of the issues involving Mohammed Shami. "If she knew about match-fixing then why didn't she report it earlier?"

A reporter was allegedly injured and a camera damaged. She gave her initial statement and has been interacting with the media nearly on a daily basis updating them about the developments. Now she's been irked by this and the fact that we've been asking her questions about what would be the next step forward.

Correspondent Manogya Loiwal complained, "She made sure everything Shami had done was in public glare". Shami took to social networking site Facebook and wrote, "Ye jitna bhi news hamara personal life ke bare may chal raha hai, ye sab sarasar jhut hai, ye koi bahut bada humare khilap sajish hai or ye mujhe Badnam karne or mera game kharab karne ka kosis ki ja rahi hai". Ever since she emerged out with the allegations against Shami, the media has been constantly following her.

Hasin Jahan, who recently alleaged her husband and India pacer Shami on charges pertaining to domestic violence and adultery, lost her cool when a set of media journalists and camera personnel followed her near a school in Kolkata.

It could be the lack of personal space and round the clock attention overdose that frustrated her to the extent that she physically attacked the journos.
