Is Selena Gomez's Mom to Blame for Singer's Break With Justin Bieber?

The Weeknd and Gomez dated and briefly lived together until October 2017.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are now taking a break from their on-again relationship and rumors have been stirring that it's because of her mom.

"Justin's family loves Selena, but Selena's family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don't trust Justin. They have their own issues and are always on and off", a source told the publication.

And it seems that Gomez is putting her mental health first, as she and Bieber chose to take a break after experiencing some relationship lows. The singer is pictured visiting the Kiss FM Studio on December 4, 2017 in London.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez delighted Jelena fans when they recently reunited. While Teefey had previously admitted to GossipCop that she was "not happy" that Bieber and Gomez were giving things another shot, the couple have evidently encountered roadblocks of their own, and a source told the site that their on-and-off status is completely a result of their own dynamic. "She wouldn't base her relationship off of what her mum thinks".

Prior to taking a break from their romance, the couple was trying to lay low and avoid the attention of the public as they worked on their relationship.

News of their apparent split comes shortly after it was claimed that the high-profile duo have remained together because they feel like other people can't relate to the pressures they both feel. "Everyone around them knows how much they mean to each other and they are truly on a great path together". Amid multiple reports describing the reasons for Justin and Selena's most recent break in their famed Jelena romance, the Daily Mail reported that Bieber was seen trying to hide his tears as he stepped out with his father. Selena and Justin were dating on and off in 2010 until 2014. The stars are pictured attending the American Music Awards on November 20, 2011 in Los Angeles.
