Delhi traders have called for a complete shutdown on Tuesday, March 13, in protest against the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital.

The BJP has accused the AAP of misleading the people on the sealing issue, saying an ordinance can not be brought in while Parliament is in session.

Sisodia said that Ajay Maken has assured that Congress MPs will bring up the sealing drive matter in the parliament.

Hitting out at the BJP, the deputy chief minister said it was unfortunate that the saffron party's representatives did not attend the all-party meeting called to find a solution to the sealing issue which has caused problems to the city's traders.

"In today's meeting, it was decided that the all-party delegation will meet the monitoring committee to find a solution to the sealing issue", Mr Sisodia said.

Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Development Minister Gopal Rai were among others who attended the meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The sealing drive was ordered by a monitoring-committee appointed by Supreme Court to shut down illegal establishments in the national capital. It is better if Mr Kejriwal do whatever in his domain instead of politicising the issue'.

"Nobody wants to solve our problems, we are being used as a tool to play politics, had it been otherwise, the situation could have been different", he said.

At the Vyapari Panchayat held at Karol Bagh thousands of traders passed a resolution demanding demanding Mr Kejriwal to pass a Bill to stop sealing on first day of Assembly session beginning March 16 and forward the same to central Government for approval. It added that more than seven lakh traders belonging to about 2, 500 traders associations would take part in the massive protest.

Protesting traders took out protest march in different markets of Delhi and held demonstration at about 100 different places across Delhi demanding immediate stoppage of sealing and de-sealing of properties already sealed.

Municipal Corporations are carrying out the drive under the directions of the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee.
