Monster Hunter World Adding Devil May Cry Costume And Weapons

Capcom is looking to introduce yet another collaboration into its hugely popular Monster Hunter: World universe to go alongside Aloy (if you are a PS4 player), Ryu, and Sakura. A new event quest will be available soon that rewards items for creating Devil May Cry content in the co-op action RPG. Players of the open-world hunting game that complete certain quest will be able to craft a very special weapon that resembles the iconic Force Edge.

World collaborations continue to come as the game continues to sell, with Capcom announcing today that players will be able to get a bit of Devil May Cry flare in their Monster Hunter with the addition of Dante as its next guest character. In Monster Hunter, that weapon falls in the Charge Blade category, and typically features a hefty shield that, when combined with its matching sword, can turn into a massive axe.

Monster Hunter: World is available now.

Revealed in an unbelievably excellent trailer (below), the armour will work similarly to the Horizon: Zero Dawn crossover, in that it transforms your hunter entirely into Dante, or a gender-swapped female Dante. The first portion of a Street Fighter V event took place right after Monster Hunter: World released. This time, Dante from the Devil May Cry series will make his way to Monster Hunter World through a future event quest. Players can pick up the collection on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
