Porn star's lawyer says Trump missed settlement offer deadline

Porn star's lawyer says Trump missed settlement offer deadline

The former adult entertainer has brazenly admitted that she received "hush" money from Donald Trump's lawyers to silence any potential tabloid fodder before 2016's presidential vote. "The only reason it hasn't run is that there is still a lot of journalism left to do", said Rhodes, adding that "60 Minutes" was still checking documents and other materials provided by Daniels.

She signed a nondisclosure agreement related to their relationship that Trump's personal lawyer paid her $130,000 for in 2016.

But Avenatti revealed in a tweet on Tuesday, that Trump and Cohen had missed the deadline to revoke the contract.

The President and Mr. Cohen have purposely ignored our settlement offer, thus doubling down on their efforts to muzzle Ms. Clifford and prevent her from telling the American people what happened.

Clifford could face a US$1 million penalty if she breaks the nondisclosure agreement.

Speaking at the Innovative TV Conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday, CBS News president David Rhodes would not confirm that the interview will air this coming Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The White House has denied Trump had an affair with Daniels. Neither Cohen, nor his lawyer, Lawrence Rosen, responded to a request for comment.

Stormy's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, has appeared in several interviews - like the above MSNBC interview - wherein the attorney vowed to keep fighting along with Daniels to allow her to speak freely and tell her version of events about her alleged adulterous affair with Trump in 2006 and 2007.

"We do not believe it is appropriate for her to preside over this case, which obviously involves the president, in light of this fact", said Michael Avenatti, who represents Daniels.

Mary Hearn, a spokeswoman for the court, said Feffer would not be able to comment because of judicial ethics involving pending cases.
