'Raees' actor Narendra Jha passes away

Narendra Jha, who worked in movies like Raees, Kaabil, Ghayal Once Again, and many more, has passed away. Born on September 2 in Bihar's Madhubani area, Jha was a noted Bollywood and television actor.

Having completed a history degree at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jha signed up for an acting course at SRCC, a college affiliated with the University of Delhi, in 1992.

His TV debut came in 1997, when Jha starred as Arjuna in the Indian TV series, Mrityunjay, based on the Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant.

Jha began his acting career on TV with hit shows like "Shanti", "Ithihass", "Captain House". Following which, he was also cast in Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Last Hero by Shyam Benegal.

The actor was best known for playing supporting roles in Bollywood - he played the role of the gangster Musa Bhai in Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, Srinagar based doctor Hilaal Meer in Haider and that of a cop in Hrithik Roshan's action thriller Kaabil. Life can not be so damn unpredictable. Rest in peace my friend.

He may have bid adieu to the mortal world, but Narendra Jha will continue to live on in people's memories and the films he has been part of. A family member told PTI, "Yes, he has passed away". Such a splendid actor and a marvelous human being. "May God bless your soul", wrote Sanjay Gupta.

Janvi Chheda Gopalia of CID fame shared a special message, which read, "RIP Narendra Sir You played my father and my mentor on screen and will always be one of my most favourite co-actors of all time!"
