Trailer: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

The wizarding world of Harry Potter will return this year with the release of Fantastic Beasts 2, officially known as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams is also down to appear in the film and Brontis Jodorowsky has been cast as Nicolas Flamel. There are other familiar faces will we see including Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, and of course, Eddie Redmayne as the protagonist Newt Scamander. Eddie Redmayne (Newt), Katherine Waterston (Tina), Dan Fogler (Jacob), Alison Sudol (Queenie), and Johnny Depp (Gellert Grindelwald) all reprise their Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them roles in the sequel, with Jude Law joining them as young Dumbledore. However, as he promised he would, Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause-elevating wizards above all non-magical beings.

Die-hard Harry Potter fans know this all leads to a battle between former friends Dumbledore and Grindelwald that rocks the Wizarding World to its core. The trailer also gives us our first glimpses of Jude Law as a youthful Albus Dumbledore, who seems to be working behind the scenes with Newt to fight Grindelwald.




In the meantime, the Wizarding World appears to have undergone a rebrand...

David Yates is helming again, from a screenplay by Rowling, and the film is produced by David Heyman, Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Pictures, a Warner Bros.

Following the release of numerous official stills from the film, lots of casting controversy, and a short video yesterday preparing fans for this official trailer, fans are finally getting a solid look at the sequel to 2016's Fantastic Beasts.
