Zooey Deschanel Cast as Belle In 'Beauty and the Beast' Live Concert

Only this time, everyone's favorite book worm is coming to life through a live-to-film concert at the Hollywood Bowl rather than in a live-action movie with semi-disturbing CGI. Although the star-studded lineup was confirmed Monday by Disney, the Hollywood Bowl's website claims that listed talent are subject to change.

Zooey will be starring as Belle, Kelsey will perform "Be Our Guest" as Lumiere, Taye will play Gaston, Rebel will be LeFou, Jane will perform the title song as Mrs. Potts and Anthony will be the Beast.

"I love this film, I love Alan Menken, and I loved Jerry Orbah - the title song, as sung by Angela Lansbury, makes me cry to this day", Grammer said in a statement about the project, according to EW. Wilson plans to prepare a little differently for her role as LeFou, saying she "will be mentally preparing for the role in France by eating croissants".

"The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl was an wonderful and unforgettable event", said legendary composer Alan Menken, who wrote the music for both that film and Beauty and the Beast. He says "walking in the footsteps of such a brilliant [film] cast is an honor". I've seen the Broadway production more than once and have harbored jealousy of every actor who has ever played Gaston every time I've been in that theater.

The concert performances will be directed by Richard Kraft, who previously helmed Hollywood Bowl live-to-film shows of The Little Mermaid, La La Land, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

"The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl was an fantastic and unforgettable event", said Menken.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. PT.

Songs from the movie, including "Beauty and the Beast", "Be Our Guest" and "Something There" will be performed live by the cast and an orchestra while the movie is broadcast on a big screen at the Hollywood Bowl.
