The 44-year-old Colon was working on a flawless game for the Texas Rangers on Sunday night before walking Carlos Correa on a 3-1 pitch to start the eighth.

Nolan Ryan (44 years, 90 days) is the oldest player to throw a no-hitter and Randy Johnson (40 years, 252 days) is the oldest player to throw a flawless game.

Colon lost his flawless game with a walk to Carlos Correa to open the eighth inning, and Josh Reddick got Houston's first hit with a double one batter later.




The 44-year-old Colon is still working on a no-hitter Sunday night. In the eighth, Colon walked Astros slugger Carlos Correa on five pitches before allowing a sharp double to Josh Reddick to break up the no-hit bid. A fan favorite all around the majors, he is on his ninth team in the last 11 seasons.

Colon finished the game with a line of 7.2 innings pitched, seven strikeouts, one hit, one walk and one earned run.

Colon ended up with a one-hitter in a 2-0 win at Yankee Stadium.
