Facebook Stories to get AR drawings and Boomerangs in the near future

Facebook Stories to get AR drawings and Boomerangs in the near future

Facebook is leveling up its Stories feature.

Facebook's new feature allows users to add 3D drawings to videos.

The new feature is set to roll out in a few weeks' time.

With a device's camera, users will be able to create 3D drawings in the world around them, which come to life through AR. The doodles will then stick to the objects captured in the frame, and users can move around to see their artwork from different angles - a bit like virtual graffiti.

The stories in Facebook soon it will be possible to draw 3D pictures using the tool of augmented reality. At the moment the wrapping functionality only works in optimal lighting conditions, when the object recognition algorithm detects the presence with assurance.

The second new feature announced for Facebook Stories - Boomerang - is an evolution of the GIF-creating feature available for a while. Facebook had its own version previously, which had the same effect as Boomerang, except it had some bugs.

"Unlike Instagram's Snapchat clone, which has more users than Snapchat itself, Facebook's hasn't been as successful". Given that it has more users than Snapchat, the pioneer of vanishing posts, Facebook will have an even harder time convincing the people to use its platform and cross-post to Instagram instead. The social media company is now testing different ways to encourage more people into its Stories. The addition of these extra creativity options could be an attempt to make the Facebook camera, a more popular place for content creators while trying to compete with the competition.

The Facebook data breach case has already created several doubts at the user end and this has made them find a platform where they could take their data, which is away from Facebook.
