Father of child found dead in suitcase has long rap sheet

They say when the DNA tests came back, they were able to track down Te'Myah's father in San Juan, Puerto Rico and arrested him on April 19.

"RPD detectives do not believe the two are in danger, however, they are missing", the department said in the statement.

The body of a toddler who was found inside a suitcase along New Jersey PATH train tracks earlier this month has been identified, according to the Hudson County prosecutor. Plumber was arrested in Puerto Rico by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents April 19. Right now, he has only been charged with desecrating human remains, after the death of his daughter Te'Myah.

Te'Myah Plummer was last seen by family in Richmond in August, according to NBC affiliate WWBT.

The Richmond father of a two-year-old girl found dead in a suitcase was previously convicted after his 8-month-old baby drowned.

Now, Plummer is awaiting extradition back to Jersey City, after he was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in connection to the death of another child. He also has multiple drug-related convictions, including for distribution of cocaine.

Court records reveal a long rap sheet for Travis Plummer.

Richmond police issued a missing persons alert for Te'Myah and her 37-year-old father in March.

Police in Richmond sent a news release about the missing child at the time, saying, 'We would like to hear from whomever may be caring for Te'Myah Plummer, probably a family member.

Authorities initially believed that Plummer and his daughter had "relocated to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, area or perhaps Jersey City, New Jersey".

Plummer is awaiting extradition and it's not known if he's retained a lawyer.
