Flood advisory issued for Geauga, Lake, Portage counties until 1:30 am

Bands of showers and thunderstorms could produce 1 to 3 inches of rain, with locally higher totals along the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge.

A flash flood watch has been posted the main Hawaiian islands until 6 a.m. Sunday as an upper level disturbance near the islands combines with abundant moisture riding in on strong trade winds. Forecasters warned that risky flash flooding is still possible.

The Flash Flood Warning for the island of Kauai has been extended to 11:15 p.m Saturday night.

Gov. Tom Wolf issued a statement saying that Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency officials urge residents to stay informed of weather conditions and be prepared in case of flooding.




Landslides are also a concern.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding, including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service by calling toll free at 1-866-215-4324.

The flash flood watch remains in effect through 4 a.m. Monday. One inbound lane could reopen as early as Monday morning, city officials said.

The typical amount for this time of year is 8.86 inches.
