Manhunt for woman who 'murdered victim and stole her identity'

In a seven-second video clip released on Monday, filmed at the Smokin' Oyster Brewery on 5 April, Mrs Reiss is purported to be shown wearing a light blue shirt while chatting with the victim.

The woman says she came home last week to her landlord telling her her son had to leave immediately and if he didn't, he was going to have to ask her to leave.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said Lois Reiss was seen following her husband's death at Diamond Jo Worth Casino in Northwood, Iowa, but the trail went cold for two weeks.

Police say Riess is also wanted for the March slaying of husband David Riess in Minnesota. "Riess is considered armed and unsafe and should not be approached if located".

"We would like to speak with anyone who saw a man fitting the suspect's description in the woods just before the attack or who saw a man fleeing the scene afterwards".

Lois Reiss was captured on surveillance video befriending Pamela Hutchinson before she killed her.

"Riess's mode of operation is to befriend women who resemble her and steal their identity", Undersheriff Carmine Marceno said. She reportedly snatched Hutchinson's cash, credit and identity cards, quickly hopped into her white 2005 Honda Acura TL and ran. He also said Reiss has a "gambling problem" and "financial problems". While she and her boyfriend were lying in bed, she said she heard screaming coming from the kitchen and recognized the voice as Crotteau's.

The suspect allegedly stole her victim's cash, credit cards, ID, and vehicle before fleeing across state lines.

The murder occurred as Mrs Riess was hiding out in Florida after allegedly killing her husband in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, last month, police say.

Police said Riess allegedly drove Hutchinson's auto to Corpus Christi, Texas, where it was last spotted.

Hutchinson was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in her home on April 9, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said.
