New Star Wars Han Solo TV Spot Teases More Of The Story

Personally, I can't say I'm excited about a "Han Solo movie", but it is, above all, a Star Wars movie, and the newest trailer, which delivers some Chewie/Han goodness, reminds me that it's the bond between characters in this franchise that I love most of all. The video shows the acquaintance of the ex-pilot of the spaceship Millennium Falcon Han Solo Chewbacca and a flight engineer. It includes a voiceover of Han counting down before everything explodes and we see a ship, we assume containing our heroes, racing away in the nick of time.

A Star Wars Story from a screenplay written by Jonathan Kasdan & Lawrence Kasdan. Where Lando whistles and then lays down his hand.

Han Solo's snappy comeback is: "You think everything is a bad idea".

I've still got a good feeling about this, Star Wars fans. The Falcon then jets off into hyperspace.

Alden Ehrenreich will take the lead as a young Han Solo, as well as Donald Glover as Lando, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca returning as familiar faces as well as Star Wars regular Warwick Davis.

You can read plenty more about Solo: A Star Wars Story when the new issue of Empire hits newsstands on Thursday 19 April. "Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and unsafe criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga's most unlikely heroes".

The sci-fi action thriller is directed by two-time Oscar victor Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) from a script by Jonathan Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan.

But hey, it's a fresh look at the next movie set in the Star Wars universe.
