WhatsApp is changing its 'delete for all' feature again

But this is not the case now, as the app lets you download deleted media from its servers with the latest update. If a user ended up deleting the content from the WhatsApp folder after downloading, there was no option to go back to the conversation and redownload the content after the expiration of the validity.

As of now, a handful of users have noticed the new feature and using the same, they are able to make and receive payments from their family and friends. If you delete any WhatsApp photo, image or GIF file from your phone, you can not download it again. According to WABetaInfo, the Twitter account that tracks changes in WhatsApp's beta builds, the company is rolling out a new feature for Android that will enable users to again download media files that they may have accidentally deleted. The chat app now does not delete the files from its servers even after it is downloaded and this allows user to recover it even if it has been deleted. On Android, if you have chosen to save WhatsApp media on the phone, it gets saved into a dedicated folder in the path (sdcard/WhatsApp/).

But now it seems that one can re-download the file easily.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp has finally released the Android beta 2.18.109 update which will resolve the issue of a Day bug.

WhatsApp turned around a fix for the glitch in a matter of days, with the new beta version now available to download.

How to retrieve deleted media content on WhatsApp? This feature is not available for iOS users because it is unlikely that users will delete anything from the internal file directory without access. At present, if users delete media including photos, GIFs, and videos from their phone they can not re-download the same on WhatsApp again. This also means that media messages are being stored on the apps's servers and now for a longer period, even after a user has downloaded them. Users will see a lock icon once just above the mic button.
