Last week the New England Patriots received good news about quarterback Tom Brady via his agent, Don Yee. He also said that given the fact that he played football nearly throughout the year, he wanted to devote as much time as he could towards his family.

"My kids are 10, 8, and 5". "I think what I'm learning, as you get older, it comes from within".

"He has a management style (with) players, and he would say, 'Look, I'm not the easiest coach to play for.' And I agree".

The reigning MVP certainly has nothing left to prove but spoke about what he feels he needs to accomplish to round out his career. I think there are things that are based in your own dealings with someone that is a personal dealing, not a public dealing.

Five Lombardi trophies later, Brady, 40, is ready to make another go at a championship with Belichick, doubling down on the decision to play into his mid-40s.

Of his connection with Belichick, he said, "We've had a great relationship, a very respectful relationship for a long time".

Being a five-time Super Bowl champion, as well as on the verge of breaking even more National Football League quarterback records than what he has already broken, it's clear that the 40-year-old wants to keep on playing to break those records and add more rings to his collection. And if you don't believe us, he'll tell you himself. I love that particular player - Malcolm.

Brady's comment hot on the heels of a report showing that the NFL's TV ratings dropped by 10% previous year. "A very respectful relationship for a long time and I feel like he's the best coach in the history of the National Football League". There is no team he'd rather play for than the Patriots, he said. Coach [Bill Belichick] has just decided something different.' I said, 'OK.' So I don't know what was a part of that decision-making, but I know we were trying to win the game.

"This is just the beginning for me", Etling said during a phone interview. And I'm not there for all the things. But like the Patriots' offseason workouts, Brady is opting not to go to the derby. I have a great relationship and history with him.

I don't notice that other than people [bringing up] television ratings. In my belief system, I've always tried to be the best I can be. The 40 year old New England Patriots quarterback chose to skip the offseason optional training due to prior commitments. What more can you ask of the coach than that?

Reading between the lines, Brady doesn't feel like he needs to be pushed or called out by Belichick in any way shape or form.
