Did Korea progress strike final blow to Iran nuclear deal?

The deal between Iran and six world powers lifted most worldwide sanctions in 2016 in return for Tehran curbing its nuclear programme, under strict surveillance by the United Nations nuclear watchdog, to stockpile enriched uranium for an atomic bomb. "Will soon determine how P4+1 can guarantee Iran's benefits under the JCPOA, and preserve this unique achievement of diplomacy".

US President Donald Trump on May 8 announced that the United States was withdrawing from a 2015 deal negotiated by the Obama administration.

Calling the accord as an "embarrassment" that was "defective at its core", he also warned of severe consequences if Iran resumes its nuclear programme. Pertinently, North Korea believes it can at least rely on China as a buffer against potential US aggression; Iran does not have a similar faith in Europe. German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas acknowledged, however, that protecting European companies from potential USA penalties could be hard.

"I want to stress that that does not mean we are in any sense not going to be working with the Americans", Johnson said, adding: "it's vital that we continue to engage with the U.S. and continue to interrogate our friends in Washington about how they see the nuclear deal developing".

Earlier on May 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the Iran deal with French President Emmanuel Macron by phone, the Kremlin said.

The Free Press online question, sent out Wednesday, asked, "Should the US disregard a 2015 agreement with Iran and enact new sanctions?"

He said that Trump's decision to reimpose Iran sanctions means his company has to fall in line.

Following Trump's decision, the ball is now in Europe's court and it is clear that numerous continent's leaders are aghast at Trump's dismissal of the deal that took over a decade to negotiate.

Merkel, speaking in the western German city of M√ľnster on Friday, said Trump's latest blow to trans-Atlantic relations, on top of his withdrawal from the Paris climate accord and trade disputes, made clear that the world's multilateral institutions are "in real crisis". No Iranian leader has admitted they had a weapons program, and the facts are now public that they did.

Many Europeans, like Ms. Tocci, believe that the unstated American aim is "regime change" in Iran, something that the British and French foreign ministers, Boris Johnson and Mr. Le Drian, have specifically ruled out as a European goal.

"We're going to make a shift".

The fact is, Trump kept pushing Iran to exhibit peaceful intent, it did not and we are therefore in a situation where its continuing evil is ever more a real peril even if unseen by those who do not want to see.

"I don't believe we will ever be able to put Humpty-Dumpty back together again", James Clapper, former director of national intelligence, said on "Fareed Zakaria's Global Positioning System".

Iran has promised to maintain the deal, regardless of Trump's withdrawal, as long as it still has the support of France and the UK. It is clear the United States president feels strongly about the Iran issue claiming the agreement is "a great embarrassment" and "a giant fiction given that "we can not prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying, rotten structure of the current agreement".
