Officials said the woman's ex-husband entered the three-bedroom home and opened fire on her, her boyfriend, and three children, and then killed himself.

The Ponder Fire Department later confirmed that five people were found dead inside of the home, and another person was injured.

Officers found five people dead - three children and two men, one of whom wielded the gun, according to Capt. Orlando Hinojosa of the Denton County Sheriff's Department.

Shortly before arrival, firefighters were told there were multiple victims inside the home.

Five people were found dead inside, while a sixth person was taken to Medical City Denton in an unknown condition, local media reported. Officials said the suspected shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and said there is no threat to the community.

Identities of the victims as well as the father have not been released.

Neighbors were shocked as word quickly spread up and down the street what had happened inside the home. He stated that he didn't know her precise situation, however that he didn't consider that her accidents had been life-threatening.
