HTC U12+ Official Specifications And Renders Leaked

As expected we're getting the second generation Edge Sense technology, which enables users to control the user interface with a light squeeze.

With the leak being this extensive we wonder if HTC will have any surprises left for us come May 23.

The specifications show another high-end smartphone heading to market, with a 6-inch Super LCD Quad HD+ display with a resolution of 2880×1440 and an 18:9 aspect ratio. We get the complete hardware info and details about most of the unique features of the phone. HTC will also infuse dust and water resistant functionalities with support for Alexa and Google assistants. Out of the box, the HTC U12+ will run Android 8 Oreo with HTC's SenseUI on top.

The front-facing camera array has also been given the dual camera treatment with two 8MP 1.2μm f/2.0 sensors. The leak also hints at AR stickers. The phone will feature Face unlock feature as well along with fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back panel.

The phone will have a 12MP+16MP dual-camera setup at the rear, featuring UltraSpeed Autofocus 2 (phase-detection autofocus + laser autofocus), OIS, dual-LED flash, HDR Boost 2, and 4K video recording at 60fps. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood, with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage (depending on region).

Connectivity wise, it supports a wide range of 4G LTE bands in both FDD and LTE as well as Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11ac 5GHz WiFi and NFC. However, the company will be bundling a USonic headphone with active noise cancellation. Backing the device is a 3500mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging support.
