Low-cost Frontier Airlines Adds Service to Nine Cities From San Antonio

But Frontier said it will monitor the routes to determine whether to extend them to year-round service.

Frontier Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Omaha's Eppley Airfield and San Antonio International Airport this summer.

Discount carrier Frontier will launch nine routes from San Antonio between August 12 and August 15.

The new route includes an 8:16 p.m. departure from Cleveland, arriving in San Antonio at 10:21 p.m.

In celebration of the dedication to the San Antonio market, Frontier will offer special introductory fares starting as low as $29 each way, which can be found on the airline's official website. On Saturday, Delta will add weekend flights to Los Angeles, Seattle and New York's LaGuardia Airport, and more service to Atlanta. The airline launched five new flights last fall, and five others last month.

The low-priced airline now originates direct flights from Cleveland Hopkins to Austin, Tex.; Cancun, Mexico; Denver; Fort Myers, Fla.; Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Fla.; Portland, Ore.; Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, N.C; and Seattle.
