It's D-day for OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone maker, as it prepares to unveil its latest flagship of 2018- the OnePlus 6.

Talking about design, the company also teased an image of the device with the textured back while teasing the launch of Avengers Infinity War edition.

The company has confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will be released on May 21 in global markets. After months of waiting and a host of rumours, speculations and leaks, OnePlus's first flagship of 2018 is all set for its official unveiling in London later today.

Per OnePlus's announcement, via Android World, the OnePlus 6 will be available for preorder tomorrow, May 16th, likely right after the launch event.

For the past one month, OnePlus has been highly active on social media, releasing several teasers as well as an explainer for design and building materials used in the new OnePlus 6.

From what we know through a recent product listing on Amazon.de spotted by WinFuture the OnePlus 6 will feature a glass a metal construction. The official launch events for China and India will be held on Thursday. The OnePlus 6 will be the company's first smartphone to include a display notch, and as a result, will have an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone is expected to come with dual rear camera setup and 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. Further, the OnePlus is said to be backed by a 3300mAh Dash Charge-compatible battery.

The company has worked hard for creating the much desired hype for the smartphone touting the features like improved camera, glass body, water and dust resistance, notch on the display and more. On the front, OnePlus 6 is expected to house a 20MP sensor with facial recognition feature.

The OnePlus will be available for purchase in India on May 21 and May 22 in limited sale. The 128GB storage variant is said to cost Rs. 39,999, while the OnePlus 6 price in India for the 256GB variant has not been revealed yet.
