Overwatch Anniversary Event Adds New Skins and Map

The video shows Junkrat and Roadhog dancing as their skins change which we assume would be the upcoming skins that will be released during the event.

Blizzard Entertainment announced plans today to celebrate Overwatch's second anniversary, which starts May 22 and ends June 1. Blizzard promises over 50 new cosmetic items, including eight legendary and three epic skins, not to mention dance emotes. Loot box shennanigans not included, I've gotten a lot of playtime out of it.

Overwatch's second birthday party will begin on May 22 and will bring back skins and brawls from previous events, a leak from the Brazilian Overwatch Twitter account has revealed. Logging in to the Anniversary event will also grant one Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, containing a single guaranteed Legendary item. Any players who grab the 50 Loot Box Bundle will get one bonus Legendary Anniversary Loot Box as well, all of which can include any Seasonal event loot included from the game's history. This sounds like a full-featured mode, as it includes placement matches, skill rating division, and leaderboards to track progress. It will include 15 skins of Legendary and Epic rarities, as well as the exclusive skins from the Origins edition. So if you haven't played Overwatch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC yet, that'll be your chance. As is tradition with seasonal items, all of last year's Anniversary items will most likely also be available to purchase with coins for at the normal, non-event price.
