Paulo Fonseca to reject West Ham, sign new Shakhtar Donetsk deal

The Hammers are now without a boss after it was revealed on Wednesday David Moyes would not be appointed on a full time basis.

The Potters have just been relegated from the Premier League and the Staffordshire-based club and current boss Paul Lambert allegedly have a "break clause" in the Scot's contract, giving either side the option to part ways.

Moyes signed a short-term deal in November and helped West Ham climb out of relegation trouble to secure a 13th-placed finish but the Scot parted ways with the London outfit on Wednesday.

Sullivan came close to appointing Benitez as manager before he joined Real Madrid in 2015.

This was announced by the President of the club Rinat Akhmetov in interview to the official website of "Miners".

"This is an exciting time for our football club", Sullivan said. "Now we need to work hard to continue winning both domestically and internationally".

Shakhtar Donetsk coach Paulo Fonseca has ended talks with West Ham. We've signed a new contract for two years.

"Miner two years ago made the right decision by inviting Paulo and his mates in the team".

'And what do we see? Paulo's a professional. This is an ambitious man.

Back in 2013/14 the then Man City boss became the first South American manager to lift the Premier League trophy, and bagged the League Cup in the same campaign, which he'd go on to win again two years later, before making way for Pep Guardiola in 2016.

"Benitez might look at it and think, "You know at Newcastle, I've got that budget which is not obviously great" and he wants more and rightly so", said Waddle.
