Pokemon Switch Set In Kanto Region, Let's Go Pikachu / Evee Possible Titles

Another main point to rear its head is the setting of the new Pokemon game, which will supposedly take place in Kanto, the location of the original games. That's all changed as of today, as Nintendo made a move that just dropped a bunch of gasoline onto the fire.

Yesterday, several insiders seemingly confirmed that the next Pokemon games would be titled Pokemon Let's Go: Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go: Eevee. According to a report from Nintendo-focussed gaming site, Nintendo Everything (via ResetEera) it's been discovered that domains for these two possible titles - and were registered by CSC Corporate Domains. Apparently, the whole Let's Go portion title is due to the fact the Big N wants a continuation of the brand that started with 2016's Pokemon Go.

While the game hasn't been officially revealed yet, it's likely to happen within the next two weeks, as originally claimed by Emily Rogers.

The new games are allegedly quasi-remakes of Pokemon Yellow and will be set in the Kanto region, the setting for the first three Pokemon games. Linking the console and mobile games was also mentioned, though to what extent remains unknown.

From here, information about the games become much more speculative.

The rumored games also explain several moves made recently by the Pokemon Company.

If past trends hold true, we could see the announcement of a new pair of Pokemon games as early as this week.

Twitter user Nibel, who in the past, accurately predicted the existence of the PlayStation Pro and the Spider-Man game from Insomniac, retweeted the alleged leaked logo for the upcoming game, adding some credence to the image.
