PUBG Mobile Gets Miramar Map, Improved Performance, Local Quick Teams, and More

PUBG Mobile has been updated to version 0.5.0 for both iOS and Android and it's loaded with a load of new features.

PUBG is a popular combat game available for a variety of platforms, with a mobile version for iPad and iPhone.

What's New - Desert map ("Miramar") is now available for selection.

That's right, Twitch will now let you search for gameplay streams of PUBG based on the number of players that are left alive in the match.

Alongside the new maps, the update has also signalled the start of season two, progress missions, secret stash, local quick teams and a new region system.

A newly released dev diary takes viewers behind the scenes of the new update, with the team at Tencent speaking about the challenges of "copying and pasting" the Miramar map from PC to mobile, and methods used to ensure the game runs smoothly. Progress Missions are new too, giving players another opportunity to collect rewards as they complete tasks. See if you can find the new vehicles and weapons. Then there are the Activity Missions, which reward players for being active and logging on every week.

Also listed in the changelog is a local quick team feature, which allows players to enter a 6-digit code to team up with friends that are close to you. - Added a Shop, where you can preview and purchase new outfits and items. - Improved climbing check during running.
