PUBG Mobile Players Can Finally Play On Miramar, The Desert Map

The new update for PUBG Mobile also addresses some lingering issues with the game.

The new filters definitely sound cool, but they are not the first PUBG-related innovation from a streaming platform. In fact, a huge PUBG Mobile update just arrived with tons of new content.

Miramar has been in the PC version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds since late 2017, although it has yet to come to the Xbox.

The second most popular battle royale game on the App Store (for the time being), PUBG Mobile, received one of its biggest updates since launch on Tuesday.

If you haven't jumped back into PUBG Mobile in a while, this seems like the flawless time to jump back in.

The games official Twitter account posted a quick tweet that shared key highlights of the update, but even that list isn't everything you'll get from PUBG Mobile v0.5.0 starting today. One thing to look out for are Progress Missions, which are weekly tasks that unlock rewards. On the more technical side, social engagement in the mobile game is improved with a local quick match option that lets players team up with nearby friends using a six-digit code.

This new update is large and features progression-based missions and new weapons. The developers have also added a "Secret Stash" that offers special discounted items.

Finally, PUBG Corp. and Tencent have rolled out a new selection of avatars, as well as a shop where players can purchase new outfits and items.
