The CW Debuts Key Art For Arrowverse Crossover Featuring Batwoman

Today we got to find out what that announcement was, was as Amell followed through at The CW's upfront presentation, announcing that Batwoman will be a part of the station's annual crossover event, THR reports.

"For the very first time appearing, we'll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific", Amell said.

Batwoman's addition also means that the Arrowverse will expand to include Gotham City, something many fans have been dying to see. But no more - because the next crossover is heading to Gotham City, and meeting up with a familiar face: Batwoman herself. "This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event", Pedowitz promised. Earlier this season, Oliver Queen name-dropped Bruce Wayne, confirming that Batman is at least in the same universe as Green Arrow. Looks like fans have finally got their wish.

First introduced in 1956 as a love interest and vigilante inspired by Batman's crimefighting efforts, Kathy Kane's Batwoman was pushed out of the narratives a decade later.

Batwoman's involvement in the Arrowverse will be featured in the next big crossover event housed on the network. Bad Blood was the first film that acknowledged Kate Kane's sexuality, with scenes of her flirting with Renee Montoya at a lesbian bar and openly discussing her dating life with the other caped crusaders.

At this point, it's unclear what Arrow will do with the character after the crossover.

The episode is slated to air in December. The Flash was introduced on Arrow, which eventually led to the character's own spinoff show. Let us know in the comments.
