TI Arrested For Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness

Henry County Deputy Police Chief Mike Ireland said T.I. was arrested around 4:30 a.m. after he got into an argument with a security guard.

In the midst of the confrontation, T.I. called a friend, Marquinarius Holmes, who arrived on the scene and joined in the debate between him and the security guard.

Atlanta entertainer T.I. has been arrested in Henry County.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., was booked on misdemeanor charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Rap star T.I. wants justice after getting arrested in his own neighborhood.

The Blast just spoke with Tip minutes after he was released from custody in Georgia, and he says the entire argument was with a security guard outside of his gated community while returning from the studio and started because the dude was allegedly asleep in the guard shack.

"It took Tip some time to wake up the sleeping guard", Sadow wrote. Tip clearly identified himself and sought entry. He says he demanded the guard's name, but the guy refused. The rapper contacted his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, who confirmed that her husband should be allowed inside the community. The police then pulled up and ultimately believed he was drunk and disorderly which prompted them to arrest the rapper and his friend. The guard continued to refuse entry without justification. Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or supervisor called the police. Attorney Sadow says the officers had no interest in "hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip".

Aside from being a rapper and actor, T.I.is also a activist involved in local and national social issues.

The Henry County Police Department has not immediately responded to Blavity's request for comment on the details regarding T.I.'s arrest.
