Ubisoft teases new Villa map and hologram-based operator, Alibi

Are you looking forward to jumping into Operation Para Bellum?

Ubisoft announced via a press release that the free to play period for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege starts on May 17th and will last until May 20th.

As far as operators go, there will be a few key changes that occur.

It's an early holiday for Siege fans, as Ubisoft have unveiled the new Villa map for Operation Para Bellum with a brief teaser trailer. As it turns out, the land is owned by the Vinciguerra, a crime family that specializes in smuggling all manners of things, including rare art pieces.

Players also got their first look at the upcoming Villa map, a attractive three story house based in the Italian hills. This will be provided via a mandatory download distributed for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

You can see a full list of region breakdowns for access here. Operation Para Bellum will also feature two new operators, again rumoured to be Alibi and Maestro, both defenders. But we don't get to see them or learn more about them just yet. You can join the other 30 million players that have enjoyed the game over the years. Year Three Season Two of the game will bring a breath of innovation and many more to the game. Ubisoft is also modifying the speed of certain operators, slowing certain ones down while speeding certain ones up. The change is created to help bring more balance options to Rainbow Six: Siege when it comes to that particular feature.

"One of the foundations of the speed vs. armor system is the balancing act between the two".
