No release date for the Xbox Adaptive Controller has been announced yet but it will sport a $99.99 price tag (around Rs. 6,800) and be available exclusively via the Microsoft Store in the US. Additionally, the Xbox Adaptive Controller supports external inputs from a range of third-party manufacturers, including PDP, Logitech, and Quadstick (you can see a full list here).

Xbox Adaptive controller is a device targeted to the people who don't have the luxury to use their hands like normal people.

Now players have to rely on the work of specialist charities to adapt traditional controllers to meet their needs. It is highly customisable, with nineteen 3.5mm input jacks and two USB ports, which will be able to receive most specialist input devices right out of the box.

Joining the Xbox family of controllers and devices, the Xbox Adaptive Controller was created to address these challenges and remove barriers to gaming by being adaptable to more gamers' needs. "We're thrilled to introduce it to the world today, tell the story behind it, and take what we have learned on our journey to inform future initiatives in inclusive design". This also included a large number of gamers with accessibility needs who work with and through these organisations.

He concluded, "At $99.99 Dollars and available exclusively through Microsoft Store, the Xbox Adaptive Controller will offer significant value over the customized alternatives that exist today".




Spencer says the Adaptive Controller "has been years in the making" and is a "passion project".

Microsoft has been doing loads of stuff lately to empower people who deserve extra care.

The charity were one of several accessibility non-profits and special interest groups asked by Microsoft to be in involved in the planning and development phases of the controller.
