'America's Got Talent' winner Neal Boyd dead at 42

The opera singer passed away Sunday at his mother's home in Sikeston, Missouri, People reports. "Just a number of things were wrong with him, and ultimately that's what led to his demise", Scott County Coroner Scott Amick toldthe mag. He allegedly had a known a health condition related to his heart. He'd been in heart failure and kidney failure, and he'd had liver disease.

Boyd won the show in 2008, wowing judges and audience members with his operatic voice.

He went on to win Season 3, earning a $1 million prize and a headlining act in Las Vegas.

It's claimed that Neal was at his mother's home in Sikeston, Missouri in the USA when he died.

"Very sad to hear that Neal Boyd, Season 3 victor of ⁦@AGT⁩, has died at 42 from heart failure". "It was my mom who really kept the family together".

The singer and his mother were reportedly badly injured.

Scott County Coroner Scott Amick said Boyd, who was seriously injured in a vehicle crash past year, had a number of medical problems, including heart failure, kidney failure and liver problems.

In 2011, the singer ran as Republican for the Missouri House of Representatives. He lost in the general election in 2012 and in the 2014 primary, according to the Kansas City Star.

"I shattered a lot of bones, and shattered my hip, which has left me nearly unable to use that leg for now", Boyd told the Southeast Missourian in February. "[Recovery is] a very slow progress. I shattered a lot of bones, and shattered my hip, which has left me nearly unable to use that leg for now", he said. "It's been hard, because you can't get up on stage right now, you can't perform for the audiences and you can't really do too much recording or traveling".

"You can kind of attribute that to the fact that Neal was a pretty overweight individual and when you are that overweight, that is a challenge to your heart, but his death was attributed mainly to his heart problems", the spokesperson added.

"Any time you're in a moment of struggle, God has a way of coming in and uplifting you", he said.

"You never know what's going to happen next". Just be grateful that you survived.
