Assassin's Creed Odyssey Leak Reveals Romance, Release Date, More

The game will also include something called Deadly Encounters, which Ubisoft will talk more about at a later date. Earlier today game's description was visible via the PlayStation Store where a few eagle-eyed gamers (no pun intended) managed to grab a few snapshots of it before it was pulled.

The interview is with Mel MacCoubrey the Narrative Director of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and she opens up with some high-level thematic details before revealing that you can choose between two characters - Alexios and Kassandra, a pair of siblings from a Spartan background. In the past, we've seen attempts at VR, toys to life games, and some thinly veiled stabs at potential buy outs from megacorporations.

Considering this puts it out roughly a year after Assassin's Creed Origins, we can only assume that, at least for the time being, Ubisoft has made a decision to jump back into its annual release schedule for the series. Whichever you choose is an outcast mercenary. Taking to ancient Greece, set before the events of Origins, this game predates the brotherhood and divulges the secrets of the First Civilization and how the progression began to what we ultimately know now as the Creed.

Now that we're done drooling over that initial cinematic reveal for the next entry into the Assassin's Creed franchise, it's time to look at what kind of gameplay experience Odyssey has to offer interested fans.

A batch of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey screenshots has been accidentally leaked ahead of E3 2018. Using it is crucial to filling up your ability meter, which is a brand new addition to the game's combat system. It will be the eleventh main installment of the Assassin's Creed series, and will take place in Ancient Greece.

Check back throughout the week for a more E3 2018 coverage. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting October 5.

Last but absolutely not least, the stage moved to Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
