Avengers Infinity War becomes the fourth film to cross $2 billion worldwide

Now that Avengers: Infinity War has earned over $2 billion worldwide, it joins the ranks of only three other pics that have done the same: Avatar, Titanic, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned $2.78 billion, $2.18 billion, and $2.06 billion globally, respectively. Moreover, it was hardly a laborious line-cross for Infinity War, which opened back on April 27, and is still riding momentum. The highest domestic earner of all time is Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a total of $936,662,225. The only thing he revealed was that "if you like Infinity War, there's some stuff to come".

Avengers: Infinity War is the 4th entrant in the Dollars $ 2 billion club.

Domestically, "Avengers: Infinity War" is the fifth-highest grossing pic of all time, with $656.1 million through June 11. It's only the fourth film in history to break that barrier, and the third to do so in its initial run (Titanic hit $2 billion on re-release). The Marvel release has done just as well overseas.

Marvel's superhero blockbuster is currently the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time (for now). Its domestic and worldwide debuts over the April 27 weekend combined for a record-shattering global opening of $640.5M even without China. It's now the third highest-grossing offshore release of all time behind Avatar ($2.027 billion), and Titanic ($1.528 billion). The same report predicts a sure-shot $2 billion gross for Avengers 4.

Infinity War posted the biggest opening days in South Korea ($39.2 million), Mexico ($25.1 million), Brazil ($18.8 million), the Philippines ($12.5 million), Thailand ($10 million), Indonesia ($9.6 million) and Malaysia ($8.4 million).

Directed by the Russo brothers, Infinity War features an all-star cast comprising Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, and Josh Brolin.
