Jeep reveals 2019 Renegade SUV

Going by the pictures, the Jeep Renegade facelift gets minor changes on the outside as well as inside.

To begin with, there are subtle changes on the front with revamped projector headlamps along with a redesigned bumper.

The main change that one would notice on the Jeep Renegade facelift is the aggressive front profile. Now with the official unveil, the SUV looks more stylish than the previous models. As we had reported earlier, the cabin of the Jeep Renegade too will be updated.

Another addition to the front is the new set of fog lamps on the lower bumper with a clear-lens turn indicator above it.

Also scheduled for launch in India, the Jeep Renegade will receive a 1.4 liter turbopetrol engine and a 2.0 liter diesel engine. The larger infotainment system and the climate control unit seems to have been borrowed from the 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

The rear of the Renegade looks mostly unchanged from the outgoing model, save for the aforementioned redone taillights.

The European-spec Renegade will also get a new engine option to choose from.

Jeep is expected to bring the updated Renegade to India in the future. The Jeep Renegade will soon be launched in India and it remains to be seen whether we get the facelifted model or not. Since the Jeep Renegade facelift will launch in the global markets later this year, we believe, it will be launched in India in 2019. Jeep is already in talks with its Indian supplier base to provide high amount of local content in the Renegade, which will help the company price the SUV competitively. The American brand also has plans to give each of its models a plug-in hybrid variant by the end of the decade.
