Neymar strikes as Brazil ease past Austria - International friendlies 2018

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar scored for the second straight game as Brazil cruised to a 3-0 win over Austria in their final World Cup warm-up clash.

Neymar responded in the best way possible, scoring a brilliant second goal after Gabriel Jesus had earlier opened the scoring.

Marko Arnautovic gave Brazil a couple of early frights before the South Americans went ahead in the 36th minute, Jesus scoring with a delightful dinked effort from a hard angle for his 10th goal in 17 internationals.

Jose Mourinho says Cristiano Ronaldo will lead Portugal to the World Cup semi-finals in Russian Federation, seeing off France in the process and setting up a final four clash against five-time champions Brazil. He latches onto Willian's clipped pass, takes a touch, dances past a defender before sliding the ball beyond Lindner and into the bottom corner.

Six minutes later, substitute Roberto Firmino set Philippe Coutinho clear down the left and he curled his shot wide of Lindner for the third.

Brazil will hope Neymar can carry the hopes of the nation.

Against Austria, he had no attempt on goal in the opening hour but went down three times following rough challenges by the home side. Similar fouls were committed by Florian Grillitsch in the 35th and Sebatian Proedl in the 53rd.

Costa's return was also good news for Tite. The Brazilian squad will hold a public training on June 12.

But how far does Jose Mourinho, one of world football's most revered football managers, think England will go this summer?

Speaking to reporters, Neymar said: "For me it is a great honour, great happiness to reach Romario, to be among the top scorers of the Brazilian team".

If Tite maintains the more attacking formation, the Manchester City man will have to mind the spaces created up front but he did slot into the team more easily than perhaps even Tite might have imagined.

Brazil will travel from Vienna to its World Cup base in Sochi, though it won't play any of its group matches near the Black Sea resort.
