Putin says he's willing to meet Trump whenever US is ready

Amid news that President Donald Trump wanted to include Russian Federation in June's G7 summit, former National Security Advisor Tom Donilon went on CNN and suggested that Trump was trying to act as the "chief advocate" for Russian Federation.

Putin during a visit to China also "welcomed Trump's call to bring Moscow back into the G7". This will be the first time a sitting U-S president meets with a North Korean leader.

The Russian president was speaking in Qingdao, China, where he was attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, reported the Guardian.

Thanks to President Putin, bilateral ties have withstood the test of ever-changing worldwide situation, Xi said, noting the deepened political and strategic mutual trust, great progress in pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and the enhanced friendship between the two peoples.

Conte's decision to side with the USA may irritate his European allies, who have so far declined to make any overtures to Russian Federation - though previous Italian governments have expressed hopes that Russian Federation would one day return, as has Japan.

As he travelled to Quebec City for the meeting of the Group of Seven industrialised economies, Trump mused last Friday that Russian Federation ought to be brought back to the group - for no discernible reason.

"We will be ready to greet them all in Moscow", he added.

Putin's remarks followed a report that White House officials were working toward setting up a meeting.

"I would like to add that the Syrian government now has control over the territory where 90 percent of the population live".

"Everyone demonstrated solidarity with London over a certain event in Salisbury but nothing concrete was said again", Putin said.

"Crimea was let go during the Obama administration", Trump said Saturday, adding: "you really have to ask that question to President [Barack] Obama, you know, why did he do that?" "I would say that the G-8 is a more meaningful group that the G-7".

Trump riled USA allies on Friday when he suggested Russian Federation be readmitted to the G7 organization, despite the country's 2014 expulsion because it annexed Crimea from Ukraine. "Please, we will be glad to see everyone here in Moscow", Putin told reporters at a briefing in China's city of Qingdao.

The China-Russia relations, standing at a high level, have benefited the two peoples and served as a model of harmonious coexistence of major countries and neighboring countries. "It's a one-time shot and I think it's going to work out very well". The bloc includes China, Russia along with four ex-Soviet Central Asian nations, as well as India and Pakistan.

He said he did not discuss a possible meeting venue with Trump but "many" countries including Austria were keen to help in organising such a summit.

Trump announced the US would leave what he called the "horrible" Iran nuclear accord in May.
