MLB All-Star Final Vote: Two Days Left To Decide Final Roster Spot

With Lexington in 2010, Jose Altuve batted.308 with 11 home runs and 45 RBIs in 94 games before being promoted.

The American League's starting outfield for next week's All-Star Game certainly isn't lacking in star power with the Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout, New York's Aaron Judge and Boston's Mookie Betts getting the nod.

The 2018 MLB All-Star Game is slated to take place at Nationals Park in Washington, DC on Tuesday, July 17.

Astros Manager AJ Hinch will become just the second skipper in franchise history to manage an All-Star Game, joining Phil Garner, who guided the 2006 NL All-Star team.

The All-Star selection features a great mix of youth, upcoming stars and heavy hitters. Those players would be replaced by other potential all-stars.

In the National League, the Chicago Cubs will send two players to start: second baseman Javier Baez and catcher Wilson Contreras. Bregman will be making his All-Star debut. The game will air live on MLB Network. Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado will start in the infield, as well as San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford.

Snell, whose 2.09 ERA was the best among starting pitchers in all of baseball at the time the All-Star teams were announced, somehow was not named to the American League roster.

The surprising inclusion in the American League was undoubtedly reliever Joe Jimenez of the Detroit Tigers. He struck out 125 during that time, allowing 53 earned runs on 145 hits. In 37 appearances, the flamethrower has logged 38.2 innings and has struck out an astounding 68 batters while giving up just 22 hits.

It was also a bit odd to see starting pitchers Jose Berrios (8-7, 3.54 ERA with the Minnesota Twins) and J.A. Happ (10-4, 4.03 ERA with the Toronto Blue Jays) earn spots in the AL, but it's likely due to the fact that every Major League Baseball team needs at least one representative in the game.

With that being said, here is your 2018 American League All-Star team.
