Brad Pitt claims he's paid Angelina Jolie more than $9M since split

TMZ reports that Angelina Jolie has been saying that Brad Pitt isn't paying child support, but Pitt has reportedly paid millions of dollars ever since their split nearly two years ago.

Pitt's attorneys said in documents they filed for him that Jolie Pitt's lawyers have made no mention that she had any problems with the amounts he has given her for the children.

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Brad fires back. he loaned her $8 million so she could buy the home in which she now lives, and shelled out more than $1.3 million in child support.

"Given the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file an RFO [Request for a Court Order] for the establishment of a retroactive child support order", the filing read, according to documents obtained by NBC News.

Jolie Pitt's filing also said she wanted to have the couple's marriage dissolved by the end of the year by separating some of the lingering issues to be resolved later.

They also claim Jolie is attempting to manipulate media coverage. Neither side specified what those issues were.

But Jolie now seems keen to resolve those after dissolving the marriage, which Pitt's lawyers say he suggested first.

The papers say, "There is no need for a Case Management Conference to schedule a hearing or filing deadlines regarding child support". Pitt's response said that a status conference that is already scheduled would serve the same objective.

CNN has reached out to both Pitt and Jolie's representatives for comment.

A bitter custody battle between Jolie, 43, and Pitt, 54, has played out publicly in the time since their announced separation.

The Hollywood power couple had been together for 12 years and married for two when she filed for divorce in 2016.
