Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Beta is Available for Pre-Loading

The Private Multiplayer Beta will feature fan-favorite game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside our brand-new objective-based game mode, Control, which was created to bring out the best of Black Ops 4 Multiplayer gameplay. One user in France revealed his Black Ops 4 beta download size to be 33.8GB while another has had a 31.2GB download size.

One of the downsides to Call of Duty's annual release schedule is that people get excited about the next instalment in the behemoth franchise less than a year after the previous one has come out.

Alongside the beefy roster, there will be six different multiplayer maps and six different multiplayer modes to test out.

There will also be new weapons, equipment and scoring systems in place to be tried out. This features teams alternating between attacking and defending two objectives. Unfortunately, this will not be playable in the upcoming multiplayer beta; however, players will be able to give it a try in the separate Blackout beta which is expected to launch in September.

Activision and Treyarch have been coy about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Battle Royale Mode. Xfinity internet customers in the U.S. will also be able to join the action.

Right now it's unclear whether you'll be able to redownload the client if you happen to delete it, but just to play it safe and get access to the Blackout Beta you might as well keep it around for the next month or so. This can be applied to any piece of Create-a-Class content.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition will be released on the 12th of October in the North American region.
